ALLENDALE - Rebecca Burgess Tymeson, affectionately known as "Becky" and "Nana", passed away in Augusta, Ga. on Saturday, September 21, 2024. She was born in Fairfax, S.C. to the late David A. Burgess and Mary D. Burgess. Becky was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to everyone she encountered.

Becky has spent her life being a loving housewife & mother to her two sons that she loved more than anything. She has also spent years volunteering her time to the Allendale County Fire Department and her community. If you know anything about Becky, then you will know the most important title that she loved the most was when she got promoted to "Nana".

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, David A. Burgess and mother, Mary D. Burgess, also her granddaughter Anna M. Tymeson. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Frederick J. Tymeson; son Johnthan W. Tymeson (Tiffany); son David A. Tymeson (Tina); grandchildren Preston, Parker, and Megan; along with her sister, brother-in-law, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Becky will forever be remembered for her kind heart, smile, laugh, and her hugs. She always loved a good story followed with a good laugh. Her legacy will live on with the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family received friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Keith Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service was held at Swallow Savannah Cemetery, Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 1 p.m. Family asked for everyone to dress casual.
